Please read this information in conjunction with the Askham Bryan Welcome Pack and Askham Bryan College Directions (separate documents):
- Getting here:
For directions and public transport information see the separate document. Please allow plenty of time for travel, both by car and public transport. Nash Hash coincides with the York Races and the Leeds Festival, both of which will mean roads in the area, particularly the A1 and A64, will be congested and trains will be busier than usual.
Arrival by car and parking at Askham Bryan College:
- For those staying in student accommodation: Please use the student car park located on the left, after the visitor car park, as you proceed up the main drive.
- For those staying in tents: Please follow the orange route marked on the map in the Welcome booklet, i.e. go past the main entrance, carry on along Askham Fields Lane, turning left and left again (please note that this lane has been prepped for resurfacing and may be uneven, with raised ironwork). Camping is in the sports field. You may access the camping field via the gate marked (see the arrow on the map in the Welcome booklet). Please drive only round the bottom edge of the field next to the accommodation village, where the grass has been reinforced, and unload there, then park in the residential student car park.
- For those staying in caravans and campervans: Please follow the yellow route marked on the map in the Welcome booklet, i.e. enter via the main entrance, turn right past private housing and left into the Horticulture car park (no. 8 on the map).
